Irshad Ullah-Khan
Chairman and Managing Director of MEFT Pakistan Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Irshad Ullah-Khan, a former Rhodes Scholar to Oxford University and author of over twenty-five volumes of poetry is a well known figure in Pakistan. He currently is the Chairman and Managing Director of MEFT Pakistan (Private) Limited the leaders in solar and wind energy development in Pakistan as well as the pioneers in deep sea fishing having brought the largest fleet to Pakistan. Mr. Ullah-Khan currently serves as Board Director of Pakistan Gems & Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC), and is a member of the Gems and Jewellery Pakistan Strategic Working Group. Mr. Ullah-Khan has also through his Singapore company worked at Chairman and Board level with Solomon Brothers, Inc., and Oppenheimer Inc., two of the largest financial institutions in the world during his four year stay in New York.
Mr. Ullah-Khan has served as Member of the Dean's Council of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University as well as a Member of the Advisory Council for the Centre of Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease at the Harvard School of Public Health. He also served as a National Trustee, to the US National Symphony Orchestra and as an International Development Consultant to the John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts. He has been twice elected President of Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan, served as President of the Pakistan-German Friendship Association and currently is the Secretary General of the Oxford and Cambridge Society, Islamabad, N.W.F.P, and Northern Areas Chapter.
Mr. Ullah-Khan has considerable experience and interests in mining and gems, deep sea fishing, aircraft sales, construction, advertising and agricultural projects. Whilst in Singapore he was appointed as Regional Director of Hall Russell Limited, one of the oldest U.K. ship building companies as well as Pearl and Dean (China) Pte LTD, Hong Kong, a leading advertising company. Between 1977 and 1984 he made and owned the Shadab Pilot Project (an agriculture commune). This project was the basis for the Integrated Rural Development Programme of Pakistan which remains the largest agricultural project in the history of Pakistan, and was adopted by the F.A.O., I.B.R.D., U.N.D.P, U.S.A.I.D, and other international organizations (reports are available from F.A.O. and U.N.D.P.). He also was appointed Distributor for the Middle East and Pakistan for Cessna Aircraft Corporation and was honoured with the Cessna Shield for Best Sales Company. Mr. Ullah-Khan also represented Hughes Helicopters, Bredanardi Hughes, and Grumman Aircraft Corporation for Pakistan.
A recipient of the Singapore Medal for services to improve trade between Singapore and Pakistan as well as a receiver of the Rotary International 1996-1997 Presidential Recognition for Outstanding Services to Families Award, Mr. Ullah-Khan brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to Khan & Jamal.

Mr. M. Jamaluddin has more than 40 years of experience in the Insurance Industry. He started his insurance career with EFU General Insurance Co in 1967. His last three companies were Eastern Federal Union Insurance, Adamjee Insurance Co Ltd and EFU General Insurance Co. Ltd. Outside the scope of work, he is a past member of the Standing Committee on Insurance, Federation of Pakistan, Chamber of Commerce & Industry from 1994-1995. He is also a former member of the TASK Force on Insurance (1997) to Review Insurance Act, 1938. He was also Chairman of the Insurance Association of Pakistan (2001-2002), Member Central Committee Insurance Association of Pakistan (1997-98), Vice Chairman, Standing Committee on Insurance, Federation of Pakistan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry (1999-2000), Member Board, Controller of Insurance to interview candidates for registration as Insurance Surveyors. He was a Registered Consultant (Insurance) for Asian Development Bank in the year 2000.
Mr. Jamaluddin is the founding editor and publisher of Pakistan’s only quarterly Insurance Journal magazine since 1984. He founded the Insurance Journal Foundation in 1988.
Other than his professional career in insurance, he has been active in numerous civil and political outings including conducting regular English programmes for the World Service of Radio Pakistan from 1968-1980. Mr. Jamaluddin has been the President, Regional Cooperation Development Association (RCD) from 1966-1969, National President, Pakistan Jaycees (1978), Jaycees World President’s representative to Indonesia and Thailand (1979), President Karachi Lions Club (1980), Zone Chairman, Lions International (1982), Deputy District Governor, Lions International (1983), President I.J Educational Society. He has received many Awards and Certificates given by Lions International & Jaycees International as well as others.
Mr. Jamaluddin has contributed articles in different newspapers and magazines most notably articles on insurance published in Lloyd’s list, a leading daily from London. He has interviewed the Chairman Lloyd’s in London and many other important insurance personalities elsewhere.
Mr. Jamaluddin has been invited to speak in seminars held at Hailey College of Banking and Finance, University of Punjab, Lahore, International Islamic University, Islamabad among other reputed organisations. He has also delivered lectures for MBA students on Insurance & Risk Management for a period of six months at Army Public College of Management Sciences. Mr. Jamaluddin brings with him great knowledge and expertise to Khan & Jamal.
